COMMUNITY MEETINGS

We will host a series of community meetings with residents around Barking Park before and after the event. We aim to liaise with the local community to address your questions and collaborate on creating a safe and welcoming festival.

We’ll be announcing a date for the next community meeting which will happen in 2026. You will be able to RSVP by emailing community@percolatemusic.co.uk. Once you have RSVP’d, the location and/or Teams link will be shared.  We encourage your attendance where possible!

2026 CHANGES

Since the 2025 event, we’ve hosted many debrief meetings, internally, with contractors, local authorities and residents. Based on the feedback and suggestions received, we can confirm the following changes have been made and will be implemented for 2026.

We have teamed up with We Are OPS, who are very experienced in Community Engagement for London Festivals. Having a dedicated person who will solely focus on all the Community Engagement elements of the festival will ensure an increase in communication in advance, during, and post-festival.

The Community Hotline will have a dedicated staff member answering the phone during live events and will also be monitoring the Community Inbox.

Enhance advanced communications with key stakeholders, including local schools, businesses, and community groups.

Subject to licence, we would like to host a free Community Day in Barking Park. More details will be shared as we progress with the planning.

We plan to:

Conduct a comprehensive review of our Egress plans and implement changes that we now know will work better and cause less disruption to the residents surrounding Barking Park. This will also include our traffic plans on road closures, one-way systems, parking suspension and temporary traffic lights.

Increase external Security presence during egress.

Debrief meetings held with the MET Police on 2025 events and discussing what improvements can be made for 2026 events with Police support.

Increase the external litter picking personnel.

LOCAL TICKETS

We will be offering local tickets at a discount depending on proximity to the park. Applications for Resident tickets will be open once the events are on sale. Please keep an eye out and check this website regularly for updates.

To apply for these, you will need to provide  a proof of address and state which event you would like attend.

ROAD & TRAFFIC INFORMATION

We are currently conducting a complete review of our traffic plans based on the feedback received from the 2025 festival. Once we have confirmation and approval from the Local Authority and other partners, we will update this section of the website and also contact all key stakeholders and residents regarding the new plans via letter drops and resident meetings.

MINIMISING IMPACT

There will be event personnel both inside the park and externally to deter people from engaging in anti-social behaviour. Working with the Police and the Security Company, we hope to reduce the impact for 2026 event series.

We will again be working with a Waste Management company to clean within the festival footprint and external areas. More information will be shared once new plans have been confirmed.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

We take our responsibility seriously regarding our environmental impact as a business. Music events can impact the parks that host them, which is why it is important to understand potential impact areas in advance of an event, so that we can work to mitigate and minimise wherever possible.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Should you wish to contact us regarding the above (or any other matter), please do so via email community@percolatemusic.co.uk

Emails will be monitored several times a week, but please note that there may be delays in response times.

We will have a community hotline live throughout the build/show/break, so if you have any concerns regarding noise, litter, nuisance, parking, or any anti-social behaviour.

The number will be shared closer to the event. Please keep an eye out.

Should you call outside of working hours or when an event is not taking place, we endeavour to respond to you in a timely manner. On show days, the hotline will be operational 1 hour before opening and 1 hour after. We want to ensure the event has minimal community impact, so please use the contact details to report any issues ASAP so we can try to resolve the issue.
